ITU International Satellite Symposium 2015

(rfd.gov.vn)- The ITU International Satellite Symposium 2015 “Satellite Regulation, Market, Technology Trends and Industry Opportunities” which has been postponed earlier has now been confirmed to take place from 30 September to 1 October 2015 at Vinpearl Luxury Danang Hotel in Da Nang City, Vietnam. The Symposium will be preceded by one-day ITU Workshop on the Efficient Use of the Spectrum/Orbit Resource to be held at the same venue on 29 September 2015. The events are kindly hosted by the Authority of Radio Frequency Management (ARFM), Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam.

 

This year ITU International Satellite Symposium 2015 will follow the outcomes from previous years as well as strengthen cooperation and partnerships among policy makers, regulators, private sector and the industry dealing with satellite services, manufacture, and regulations.

The 2015 Symposium will cover the following topics, inter alia: 
• Satellite international regulations update and WRC-15 preparations and key agency items; 
• Satellite policy and regulatory framework including country practices on satellite communications and broadcasting services;    
• Satellite market and technology trends, as well as industry opportunities.  

​The forum targets senior government officials, executives and management, scholars, as well as media and press. National satellite service providers in the Asia-Pacific region are also invited. Hence, the Symposium provides an excellent opportunity for dialogues among multi-stakeholders in public and private sectors. More importantly, the Symposium also features exhibition to showcase innovative products and services in the satellite industry.

Participants are required to pre-register online (click HERE for online registration) before 5 September 2015. Fellowships for eligible ITU Member State are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to the available financial resources. Fellowship request form is also available at the event website and must be submitted to ITU no later than 28 August 2015
