At 0h on 16 August 2017, in 15 provinces of Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Long An, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, An Giang, Tien Giang have switched off the local analog TV channels and officially switched over to DVB-T2 digital terrestrial television transmission as planned by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
